Windsor's Warming Crew
Winter down here in Windsor, Ontario has been COLD this year! And long! I have lived here 5 years in July and this was my 5th Winter experience with snow...and for me, one who thinks it is magical, has had enough! A couple of friends and I were talking and before we knew it "Windsor's Warming Crew" had been created, the City Hall area had been "yarn-bombed" with scarves and hats for the homeless who needed them and we had been found out and on TV in 48 hours!

New Spring Bunny....Preparing for Easter!
Well, i'm hoping Winter will end soon, as this has been a very long Winter here in Windsor, Ontario! I do love snow, the many types of snow, my favourite are the big soft floaty flakes....so magical! However. It's been FREEZING!!! I have freezer burn on my forehead!! The wind is crazy cold! But i still love snow :)
Spring is coming, and that means Easter! and BUNNIES! I do so love bunnies. So i am really looking forward to making all new types of toys to please all types of customers wishes!
You can find the pattern for this cutie pie on Makezine.com and it is a pattern written by Stephanie Jessica Lau. Easy to follow and cute to boot! I did change my hook size from 2.00mm up to 3.50mm. Made my bunny just shy of 8 inches tall including the ears! Not sure if i need new glasses or my fingers are too big, but 2.00mm needles are TEENY WEEENY!
And just before i leave you, a little bunny backside, with a cute little tail :P

Hoping everyone had a fabulous weekend! I had a fabulous time at my coupon groups monthly "Swap", always great to have coffee, look through coupons and catch up with great friends! Looked into what i would like to create for my next show! March 22nd, Saturday, at the Fogolar Furlan Club. Will be themed around Mother's Day and Easter! Anywho, back to work today for a lot of you and for those of us who craft just continue on when we can! You are ALL awesome! xo

Little Chihuahua
Ohhh this little cutie was so much fun to make! The pattern is a PDF you can download here! I started looking around for a cute puppy pattern, it's hard when there are so many out there (probably the main reason i have too many W.I.P.'s!!) This was too cute to refuse, and he loves to sit and watch me crochet now!

Easter is on it's way....Only after Valentines Day!
The next Craft Show i'm attending is March 22nd! Mother's Day & Easter round the corner! SO i thought...BUNNIES! I love bunnies, toy bunnies, and have already found over a dozen patterns i want to try, time permitting with orders and random pattern distraction!
THEN i saw this pattern by Happie Scrappie! :)
Soooooooooo CUTE!! You have to go and check everything out!
I didn't add the face to the hat, and i used a 3.50mm hook,
making this guy 4 x 4 x 4 inches approximately!
With or without hat......SO CUTE <3

Big Striped Bear
I'd like to share with you a teddy bear i have made for a friend, to give her own friend's daughter as a gift! I found the pattern via Pinterest (of course) by K & J Dolls Blog! Fantastic pattern, so easy to follow, and boy is the bear a big one! I see many variations in the future!
My customised changes, I worked in a spiral instead of (slst, ch1) a little pink bow and pink heart on one of her feet! I changed the stripe pattern to suit, just counting how many rows needed to be crocheted.....I also changed the ears, making a circle to 30sc, decreasing to 24, changing colour to white and decreasing to 6sc and fastening off! I hope the little girl who receives this teddy bear is VERY happy!

The Granny Square Challenge - Day #7
So this one looked easy. Boy was i WRONG! For some reason i think the instructions are missing something as Row 3 i had to go by looking at the photo rather than the instructions to make it look right....Could be i'm tired perhaps! Turned out great though :) Would make a nice blanket with these, lots of different colours, a nice throw!
Pattern is here at Hopeful Honey
It's sitting on top of a cotton washcloth i made in a similar tone of colour :)

Day #5 - Dly's Hooks & Yarns - Heart Square
Again, i thought this one would be a little tricky BUT it whipped up fast and was easy to follow and form! I love the variations she made on her blog, ice cream's and hearts, would make for a "sweet" afghan!

The Granny Square Challenge - Day #3
Day #3 - Wagon Wheel Granny Square
This one is really neat! I can see a lot of potential here....I'm using up scraps for my practice squares so please excuse the off colours on some of these! I have a show coming up in March for Mother's Day & Easter, so have been starting little pieces here and there in between orders! You will get sneak peeks behind my new squares each day!
